Bakkakot is Mosfellsbær Golf Club's smaller nine-hole course in Mosfellsdalur. It is distinct from the club's larger Hlíðavöllur course and is specifically presented by the club as a short-game-oriented layout. The course runs into the hills of Mosfell Valley and is notable in an Icelandic context for tree-lined holes featuring poplar, Icelandic birch and pine.
