The Lynedoch Course is the shorter golf layout at Murrayshall Country Estate near Scone, Perthshire. Murrayshall's current golf pages describe Lynedoch as a 10-hole parkland course, distinct from the estate's 18-hole Murrayshall championship course. The current layout is approximately 2,728 yards and par 34 and runs through higher ground on the estate, with comparatively narrow fairways framed by Scots pine.
It is promoted for shorter rounds, juniors and newer golfers, although it remains a measured golf course rather than a pitch-and-putt facility. The estate's golf configuration has changed substantially: Lynedoch formerly existed as a longer 18-hole course, was subsequently reduced to 10 holes, and planning material has proposed a further reduction to nine. Historical 18-hole Lynedoch scorecards therefore should not be treated as current.
The course is a 10-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 34, 2,728 yards. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Junior Membership, Country Membership, Suite, Driving range, Pro shop, PGA tuition, Restaurant, Accommodation, and 1 more.
Lynedoch forms part of the golf offering within the historic Murrayshall estate. It developed alongside the longer Murrayshall course but occupies higher ground and evolved as the shorter of the property's two layouts.
The current course uses narrow corridors framed by mature Scots pine and is deliberately positioned as a quicker and more accessible alternative to the championship course.
Lynedoch has undergone major changes in scale. Earlier scorecards document an 18-hole layout. The estate subsequently reduced the course to 10 holes.
Planning documents associated with redevelopment of the property proposed removing another hole and reconfiguring others to produce a nine-hole layout, although the current main golf page still explicitly describes Lynedoch as 10 holes.
Murrayshall currently markets Lynedoch as a 10-hole parkland layout suitable for a quick round, juniors and golfers new to the game. It shares the estate's driving range, professional services and hospitality facilities.
