The Oxfordshire is an 18-hole championship golf course in Oxfordshire designed by American architect Rees Jones. The official club history states that Japanese owner Nitto Kogyo commissioned Jones after chairman Hitoshi Matsuura identified the potential of the site. Construction of the clubhouse and seeding of the golf course proceeded together, and the club officially opened in spring 1993.
Jones designed the course specifically with championship golf in mind, incorporating four lakes and 135 bunkers into an inland layout. The Oxfordshire subsequently hosted major professional events including the Benson & Hedges International Open and Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf, bringing leading players to the property. The course now forms part of The Oxfordshire Golf, Hotel & Spa and is available to visitors as well as members and resort guests.
The course is an 18-hole resort golf course. Designed by Rees Jones, the course originally opened in 1993. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Putting Green, Pro Shop, Clubhouse, Restaurant, Bar, Hotel, Spa.
