The course is an 18-hole resort golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,544m (7,156 yards). The course was designed by Hiromasa Inagawa. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Suite, Clubhouse, Golf boutique, Driving range, Chipping green, Putting green, Changing rooms, Buggy terminal, and 5 more.
Cempaka was developed as one of three separate 18-hole layouts within Palm Resort Golf & Country Club's large golf estate in Johor.
Hiromasa Inagawa's routing uses narrow fairways, pronounced doglegs, numerous bunkers and nine water hazards to place a premium on positioning. The club contrasts those demanding driving corridors with broad, undulating Bermuda greens.
Cempaka remains one of Palm Resort's three 18-hole courses, sharing a clubhouse and extensive practice infrastructure with Allamanda and Melati.
