PalmGolf Marrakech Palmeraie is a golf resort in Marrakech's Palmeraie district. Morocco's official tourism golf guide credits Robert Trent Jones Sr. with designing the original course in 1992.
The core layout is an 18-hole, par-72 course; a later nine-hole extension expanded the property to 27 holes. Morocco's specialist golf guide identifies Stéphane Talbot as designer of that additional nine and reported in 2025 that it had been closed for works since March 2018, so the operating status of all 27 holes should be checked when booking. The original course is associated with the Palmeraie resort complex and incorporates lakes, bunkering and the existing palm landscape.
The course is a 27-hole resort golf course. Designed by Stéphane Talbot and Robert Trent Jones Sr, the course originally opened in 1992. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Clubhouse, Restaurant, Driving range, Putting green, Chipping area, Equipment rental, Golf academy.
For decades Marrakech had very few golf options, but development of the Palmeraie in the early 1990s became part of a broader expansion of golf around the city. Robert Trent Jones Sr., near the end of his long design career, created the original 18-hole course, which Morocco's tourism authority dates to 1992.
The Jones course was laid out through the established Palmeraie landscape, using lakes, bunkers, fairways and greens within the palm-covered setting. Its identity is tied to Jones's late-career resort work rather than the newer desert-style courses that subsequently appeared around Marrakech.
A further nine holes designed by Stéphane Talbot later expanded the facility to 27 holes. Golf du Maroc reported in January 2025 that this additional nine had been closed for works since March 2018. Current online booking material still distinguishes the property as Original 1-18 and New 19-27.
PalmGolf Marrakech Palmeraie operates as part of a resort complex with accommodation, restaurant and golf facilities. The original 18 remains the historically significant Robert Trent Jones Sr. component, while the status of the later nine should be confirmed directly before play.
