About Piper's Heath Golf Club

Piper's Heath Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 public course on Trafalgar Road in Milton, Ontario. Graham Cooke designed the course, which opened in 2007. The current Gold tees total 7,017 yards with a Course Rating of 73.9 and Slope Rating of 136; progressively shorter Blue, White, Green and Red tees extend access across a broad range of playing distances.

Cooke designed the routing around the property's existing wetlands, meadows, mature oak trees and rolling ground, with mounding used to separate holes. The facility also has a substantial 20-acre double-ended practice academy, including target greens, bunkers, a chipping green and separate putting area. Piper's Heath is open to public play and supports golf instruction, tournaments, dining and events.

Design Philosophy

Graham Cooke conceived Piper's Heath as a walkable course requiring imagination and offering changing visual angles through the round. Existing wetlands and meadows were retained as landscape elements, while mature oak trees were incorporated into the routing. Mounding helps separate individual holes.

Cooke also designed a large double-ended practice academy with target greens and bunkers.

Development

The course entered public play in 2007 as a modern Greater Toronto Area daily-fee facility. Its supporting golf infrastructure was designed as part of the broader project rather than added as a small conventional range, with approximately 20 acres devoted to practice.

Today

Piper's Heath remains an 18-hole, par-72 public golf course. Its rated tees extend from the Gold set at 7,017 yards to the Red set at 5,033 yards, with separate women's ratings published for several tee colours. Public tee times are offered online and by telephone.
