Playa Mujeres Golf Club's Championship Course is an 18-hole Greg Norman Golf Course Design layout north of Cancún. It opened in 2006 and is distinct from the club's newer Short Course, although both are now promoted together by Playa Mujeres. The Championship routing passes through several types of coastal terrain, including native mangroves and sand dunes, with portions overlooking the lagoon and Caribbean Sea.
The club provides a driving range, two putting greens and a short-game area, along with a pro shop, snack bar and rental clubs. Golf carts use the Visage GPS system. Playa Mujeres accepts public tee-time reservations through its own website and also handles tournaments and group outings.
The course is an 18-hole resort golf course. Designed by Greg Norman Golf Course Design, the course originally opened in 2006. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving range, Putting greens, Short game area, Pro shop, Snack bar, Rental clubs.
The Championship Course was developed at Playa Mujeres on the mainland north of Cancún and opened in 2006. Greg Norman Golf Course Design routed the course through the site's mangrove, dune and lagoon environments.
The official club describes the design as intended to provide strategic challenges across a range of player abilities. The routing makes use of changing terrain and exposure to the lagoon and Caribbean coast rather than relying on a single landscape character.
Playa Mujeres has since expanded its golf offering with a separate Short Course, also credited to Greg Norman Golf Course Design. The original Championship Course remains a distinct layout and should not be combined with the Short Course in scorecard or hole data.
The club operates both courses with shared practice and clubhouse facilities. Current amenities include a driving range, two putting greens, a short-game area, pro shop, snack bar, rental equipment and Visage GPS-equipped carts.
