Powfoot Golf Club is an 18-hole course at Cummertrees near Annan in Dumfries and Galloway. The club was constituted in 1903 and formally opened on 27 June that year with nine holes; an opening match featured professionals Sandy Herd and Willie Fernie. The course expanded to 18 holes in 1911.
James Braid visited in November 1923 and strengthened several holes by creating longer tee positions and adding bunkers. The club describes the modern course as a mixture of links and parkland characteristics, with whins, gorse and exposed ground contributing to its character. The current white men's layout is par 71 at 6,250 yards with a 69.3 course rating and 126 slope; yellow is 5,993 yards and red is 5,489 yards.

The course expanded to 18 holes in 1911. James Braid visited in November 1923 and strengthened several weaker holes with longer tees and new bunkering. Five holes were cultivated during the world wars, reducing the usable course to 13 holes.
After the Second World War the lost holes were reseeded and the full 18 restored in 1949.
The club says the course has remained relatively unchanged since the post-war restoration and continues to combine links and inland parkland characteristics.
