About Primm Valley Golf Club

Primm Valley Golf Club near Nipton, California was developed as a 36-hole public golf facility with two separate Tom Fazio designs: the Lakes Course and Desert Course. The Lakes is a par-71 layout historically listed at 7,131 yards, while the Desert is par 72 and approximately 6,945 yards. The club opened in the late 1990s and became a notable golf stop near the Nevada-California border, despite being physically located in California.

Its tournament history included the inaugural World Series of Golf in 2007. The club's current official website states that Primm Valley Golf Club is closed for the foreseeable future and redirects tee-time demand to its sister property, The Legacy Golf Club. Because the two Primm layouts are distinct courses, their pars and yardages should remain separate rather than being combined into a single 36-hole scorecard.

The course is a 36-hole golf course. Designed by Tom Fazio, the course originally opened in 1997. It is open to the public.

Origins

Primm Valley was developed as a two-course golf complex serving the Primm resort area, although the golf property itself lies across the state line in California. Tom Fazio designed both 18-hole layouts.

Design Philosophy

The facility consisted of two deliberately distinct layouts: the par-71 Lakes Course and par-72 Desert Course.

Development

The club operated as a 36-hole destination for decades and hosted the inaugural World Series of Golf in 2007.

Today

The official club website states that Primm Valley Golf Club is closed for the foreseeable future and directs golfers to The Legacy Golf Club instead.
