Rattlesnake Ridge was founded in 2001 as a small private golf club in the growing northern Columbus area. The club was conceived around golf rather than a broader country-club amenity model.
Jodie Kinney used the naturally varied site and Rattlesnake Creek to create a course where water, changes in terrain and multiple tee sets place an emphasis on club selection and shot placement.
A substantial clubhouse was added several years after the course opened. The approximately 11,000-square-foot building was constructed by Baker Henning Company and designed by James Bean Architects.
The course has been selected for multiple state, district and national qualifying competitions.
Rattlesnake Ridge remains a private golf-focused club offering the course, practice range, clubhouse, dining and member events.
