Specialist course records date Rock Chapel Golf Centre to 1998. The operation developed as a short-course and practice-focused golf facility serving Dundas and the western Hamilton area.
The compact layout is structured primarily around short-iron and wedge play. Eight holes are par 3s, while a single 300-yard par 4 adds a longer test. The club describes large greens, bunkering, uphill lies and water carries as recurring features.
The facility has broadened beyond the nine-hole course to include a driving range, instruction and an 18-hole real-grass putting course.
Rock Chapel operates seasonally as a public facility. Golf-course and putting-course play require advance reservations, while range use remains walk-in.
