Origins

The Pueblo of Sandia developed Sandia Golf Club as a golf amenity associated with Sandia Resort & Casino. Scott Miller designed the course, which opened for play on June 11, 2005.

Design Philosophy

Miller routed the course through exposed high-desert terrain. The club identifies 48 strategically positioned bunkers and substantial green complexes among the design's principal features, with multiple tee positions extending the course across a very wide range of playing distances.

Development

The golf operation was supplemented in 2015 by the opening of the Event Center at Sandia Golf Club.

Recognition

Golfweek has repeatedly included Sandia among its Best Courses You Can Play in New Mexico, including rankings in multiple years from 2009 through 2019.

Today

The Pueblo of Sandia continues to own the course, which is open to public play and forms part of the wider Sandia Resort & Casino property.
