About Santa Clara Golf Granada

Santa Clara Golf Granada is an 18-hole course at Otura, south of Granada, designed by Enrique Canales Busquet and opened in 2006. The Spanish federation records the championship white markers at 6,380 metres, par 72, with a 73.6 course rating and 132 slope; yellow markers measure 6,049 metres and red markers 5,599 metres. The layout has broad fairways, large greens and tees and extensive bunkering.

The federation identifies the facility as a commercial course and lists a practice range, pitching and putting greens, restaurant, clubhouse, golf shop, equipment and buggy hire, swimming pools, spa and fitness facilities. Santa Clara also has a separate six-hole pitch-and-putt facility, which should not be confused with the main 18-hole course. Current federation information confirms public green-fee pricing for both nine and 18 holes.

The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,380m, course rating 73.6 and slope rating 132. Designed by Enrique Canales Busquets, the course originally opened in 2006. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving range, Putting green, Pitching green, Restaurant, Clubhouse, Pro shop, Spa, Gym, and 1 more.

Origins

Santa Clara Golf Granada began operations in 2006 at Otura, with an 18-hole course designed by Enrique Canales Busquet. The project established a full golf and leisure facility south of Granada rather than only a standalone course.

Design Philosophy

Federation material describes a technical layout distinguished by broad fairways, large tees and greens and numerous bunkers. The course was laid out with several tee options and substantial practice facilities.

Today

The facility remains an 18-hole golf operation with a separate six-hole pitch-and-putt course, practice range, short-game facilities, clubhouse, restaurant, spa and other leisure amenities.
