Shaganappi Point Golf Course's Valley 9 is a public municipal nine-hole course in Calgary, Alberta. It is one of the layouts at the larger Shaganappi Point facility, which also includes an 18-hole course and driving range. The Valley 9 plays to par 32 and measures 2,169 yards from the Blue tees.
White tees measure 1,997 yards and Green tees 1,703 yards. The official City of Calgary scorecard lists four par-4 holes and five par-3 holes, with a target playing time of approximately two hours. Current 2026 green fees are $30 Monday through Thursday and $35 Friday through Sunday and holidays, with lower weekday rates for players aged 65 and over and a $21 junior rate.
The course is a 9-hole golf course. It plays to par 32, 2,169 yards. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Putting Green, Club Rental, Push Cart Rental, Power Cart Rental, Golf Lessons.
The broader Shaganappi Point course began in 1915 as Calgary's first public municipal golf course. It originally consisted of a basic 18-hole layout serving a city of roughly 80,000 people.
Over the following century the facility expanded to 27 holes and added a driving range. The Valley 9 now operates as a distinct nine-hole option alongside the 18-hole course.
A Calgary Heritage Authority review led to Shaganappi Point being added to the city's Inventory of Evaluated Historic Resources.
The Valley 9 remains part of a heavily used City of Calgary municipal golf complex with online booking, practice facilities and multiple public-rate categories.
