About Silk Path Dong Trieu Golf & Country Club

Silk Path Dong Trieu Golf & Country Club is a 27-hole golf development in Quang Ninh designed by Faldo Design under Sir Nick Faldo. The official course site describes substantial elevation changes and a routing that retained mature pine trees where possible rather than flattening the site. Quang Ninh government reporting says the project occupies nearly 130 hectares and consists of an 18-hole tournament-standard course plus nine additional holes, with an official inauguration on 11 January 2025 after roughly three years of development.

The facility includes a clubhouse, practice areas and pro shop. Faldo Design's routing makes extensive use of the site's slopes, streams and existing vegetation; contemporary design reporting notes that millions of cubic metres of earth had to be balanced on site because material could not simply be removed. The club provides direct golf booking through its official website and lists dedicated golf-booking contact details.

The course is a 27-hole resort golf course. Designed by Faldo Design and Sir Nick Faldo, the course originally opened in 2025. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Clubhouse, Practice areas, Pro shop.

Origins

Silk Path Group developed the project on nearly 130 hectares at An Sinh in Dong Trieu. Construction took roughly three years, and provincial government reporting puts investment above VND 1.2 trillion. The course was officially inaugurated on 11 January 2025.

Design Philosophy

Faldo Design worked with a severe, highly contoured site rather than imposing a flat platform. Existing mature pine trees were retained where practical, while substantial cut-and-fill work was required to make the routing playable. The official club describes pronounced elevation changes as a defining characteristic.

Development

The overall development comprises 27 holes. Government reporting describes 18 holes built to tournament standards and another nine intended for less experienced players. Contemporary golf-architecture reporting focused on the principal 18-hole Faldo layout.

Recognition

The project attracted specialist golf-architecture coverage because of the scale of earthmoving required and the effort to preserve existing pine trees while creating the routing.

Today

The club operates as a 27-hole golf facility with direct booking, clubhouse, practice areas and a pro shop.
