The Clarens Golf Estate is an 18-hole golf course on the edge of Clarens in South Africa's Free State. The estate's own material confirms an 18-hole country-style layout and actively offers day-player golf, membership and estate-guest rates. A published scorecard lists a par of 71, with the men's course measuring 5,829 metres and the women's course 4,762 metres.
Golf Data is credited as the course architect in established course-directory information. The routing occupies a valley beneath Mount Horeb and uses the site's changes in elevation, river corridors and water around a number of greens. The clubhouse overlooks the finishes of both nines.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 71, 5,829m (6,375 yards). The course was designed by Golf Data. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving range, Practice green, Clubhouse, Conference centre, Restaurant, Golf carts.
The golf course forms the sporting centrepiece of The Clarens Golf Estate, a residential development on the edge of Clarens in the Eastern Free State.
The routing makes use of the valley floor, changes in elevation and water around a number of greens. The clubhouse was positioned so that both the ninth and eighteenth holes finish within view of the building.
The course remains an active 18-hole estate facility with membership options as well as day-player and accommodation-guest access. Practice facilities, carts and clubhouse services support regular visitor and competition golf.
