The Woodlands Course at Whittaker

The Woodlands Course at Whittaker is a public, 18-hole golf course in New Buffalo, Michigan, established in 1996 by Dan and Mary O'Brien. Billed as "one of southwest Michigan's finest golfing experiences" and a must-visit stop in Michigan's Harbor Country, the course winds through woods, water, and sloping fairways, with multiple tee placements — from a championship "Tips" tee stretching past 7,000 yards down to forward tees under 5,000 yards — so it plays as a formidable challenge from the back while staying accessible for golfers of every level. Green fees are seasonal, with all rates including cart fee: summer weekday 18 holes run $85 (7am–4pm) or $55 after 4pm twilight, rising to $99/$65 on weekends and $105/$70 on holidays, with lower spring and fall rates and discounted senior (65+) and junior (under 16) pricing.

The clubhouse is home to The Grille at Whittaker, a restaurant set in a renovated 1920s farmhouse with an outdoor patio overlooking the course and lake, alongside a bar and dedicated wedding and event venues. The course also has its own pro shop and online store, and reservations can be made online or by phone up to 14 days in advance.
