Trump National Golf Club Hudson Valley is a private 18-hole club in Hopewell Junction, New York, built on a 300-acre former bison farm in Dutchess County. The course was designed by architect Eric Bergstol and opened in 2001 under its original name, Branton Woods; Donald Trump acquired the property in 2009 and renamed it Trump National Golf Club Hudson Valley.
The course plays to a par of 72 across five tees, from 5,499 yards at the forward Green markers to a demanding 7,690 yards from the Gold tips (course rating 77.3, slope 147) — a genuine championship test at the top end, with the more common Black and Blue tees offering a still-substantial 6,817 and 6,329 yards respectively. Three lakes and 64 bunkers come into play across the routing, including a stretch of long par 5s and tightly bunkered, shorter par 4s that demand precision over raw length.

Long before it carried the Trump name, this course was built in 2001 as Branton Woods, laid out by architect Eric Bergstol across a 300-acre former bison farm in Dutchess County. Three lakes and 64 bunkers were worked into the routing across land that had spent its previous life grazing livestock rather than hosting golfers.
Donald Trump acquired the property in 2009, folding it into his golf portfolio and renaming it Trump National Golf Club Hudson Valley. The Bergstol-designed routing itself was not rebuilt for the sale — the course golfers play today is substantially the same layout that opened as Branton Woods eight years earlier.
