Upchurch River Valley South Course is a separate nine-hole course at the Upchurch River Valley golf facility in Kent. The operator describes it as the newer of its three courses and confirms a par of 36, made up of three par fives, three par fours and three par threes. It occupies flatter ground than the facility's 18-hole North Course and is explicitly offered for public pay-and-play golf.
The operator currently highlights the par-five 8th, which it lists at 623 yards, as the longest hole on the layout. A published third-party scorecard records White, Yellow and Red tees, with the White card totalling 2,875 yards, Yellow 2,780 yards and Red 2,494 yards; these figures appear to pre-date or differ from the operator's present 623-yard measurement for the 8th. Upchurch River Valley also operates an 18-hole North Course and a separate nine-hole Academy Course, so data from those layouts should not be merged into this South Course record.
The course is a 9-hole golf course. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Golf Buggies, Trolley Hire, Pro Shop, Restaurant.
The South Course is the newest of the three layouts operated at Upchurch River Valley. The facility's official course page describes the older 18-hole North Course as roughly 27 years old and distinguishes the South as a later nine-hole addition built on flatter land.
The official description defines the layout by its balanced composition of three par fives, three par fours and three par threes. It is intended as a genuine long nine-hole course rather than the shorter Academy layout also operating at Upchurch.
The South Course remains part of a public pay-and-play facility alongside the North and Academy courses. Golfers can book a single nine-hole round, combine the two nine-hole layouts, or play the South Course twice for an 18-hole round.
