Vaal de Grace Golf Estate is an 18-hole, par-72 Nick Price design on and around an island in the Vaal River near Parys. The estate describes it as the first full championship course designed by Nick Price in South Africa and the country's only Nick Price Signature course. Its geography is unusual: the official club states that 14 holes lie in North West Province and four in the Free State.
The course was officially opened in 2008; a contemporary anniversary account records Nick Price hitting the ceremonial first shot on 1 December that year. Published championship measurements reach 6,711 metres, or about 7,341 yards, with a 73.8 rating published for the longest setup by a current golf database. The course suffered a major interruption in 2020, when operations ceased during the COVID lockdown, but it reopened in November under a transition arrangement and has subsequently returned to regular operation.

The golf course was conceived as the sporting centrepiece of a residential estate occupying an island and adjoining land in the Vaal River near Parys. Nick Price was commissioned for the design, creating what the estate describes as his first full championship course in South Africa. Price struck the ceremonial opening shot on 1 December 2008.
The routing uses the island setting and Vaal River as defining elements. The official estate says the course and residential layout were planned to fit the existing environment, while the unusual routing requires the course to cross between land in two provinces.
The course faced severe financial pressure during the 2020 COVID lockdown and its then operators announced closure. The Homeowners Association subsequently became central to the recovery. The course reopened on 20 November 2020 after roughly eight months closed, initially for homeowners, members and accommodation guests, and restoration work continued thereafter.
The course hosted the South African Amateur in 2011 and has been noted in South African golf coverage for the unusual island routing and its status as Nick Price's first full championship design in the country.
Vaal de Grace is again operating as an 18-hole course. The estate publishes membership information and accepts golf bookings through the pro shop by telephone, WhatsApp and email.
