The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. The course originally opened in 1925. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Pro Shop, Golf Lessons, Restaurant, Junior Membership.
Victor Harbor Golf Club traces back to September 8, 1911, when founder Dr Frank Douglas and eight other local businessmen voted to establish a club, initially playing a 9-hole layout just south of the eventual site. Within three years the club relocated to a private 9-hole course at Mount Bracken, where it remained for roughly a decade before moving to its current site in 1925 — the year the club now counts as its founding date for centenary purposes.
The course has operated continuously on its current Fleurieu Peninsula site since 1925, expanding over the decades into the full 18-hole layout golfers play today, alongside a shorter 9-hole option still offered for green-fee play.
Now in its second century, Victor Harbor Golf Club remains a public-access course on South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula, with green fees, cart and equipment hire, and both 18- and 9-hole options for visitors and members' guests.
