Waverly Municipal Golf Course is an 18-hole public municipal course at 705 8th Street SW in Waverly, Iowa. Golf on the site developed in the late 1920s, initially with sand greens and a nine-hole routing. Grass-green development followed in the 1930s, and the property underwent extensive rebuilding and expansion over subsequent decades.
The modern course is par 72 and plays 6,004 yards from the Blue tees, rated 68.9 with a slope of 117. Other official rated yardages are 5,774 yards from the Blue/White combination, 5,602 from White, 5,042 from Gold and 4,810 from Red. A major US$1.5 million improvement program in 2002 introduced new greens, tees, bunkers, ponds and renovated fairways.

Waverly's municipal golf history reaches back to approximately 1928. Early notes describe a rudimentary course laid out around a race track, agricultural buildings and neighbouring ground, with sand greens and holes that sometimes had to close during fair week or race-track use. By 1931 the course had developed nine grass greens.
The course changed repeatedly through the twentieth century as land was acquired and greens, tees and irrigation were rebuilt. Work during the 1960s reshaped several holes and supported development toward the modern 18-hole facility. A US$1.5 million program in 2002 added new greens, tees, sand, ponds and renovated fairways.
Cart paths were rebuilt in 2007. In 2010 two new holes were constructed to replace two holes on land sold to Waverly Health Center.
The course has a long local tournament tradition, including the Waverly City Championship and Waverly Invitational, both of which have histories extending across many decades.
The City of Waverly continues to operate the course as an 18-hole public municipal facility with online tee-time booking and published daily and seasonal rates.
