West Waterford Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course at Coolcormack near Dungarvan. Pat and Nora Spratt developed the course by converting their dairy and apple farm, with Eddie Hackett responsible for the design. It was officially opened on 9 July 1993.
The current official Blue course measures 6,736 yards and plays to par 73; White, Yellow and Red alternatives measure 6,432, 5,965 and 5,383 yards respectively. The River Brickey borders part of the property and comes into play on several holes on the back nine. The club is the home club of touring professionals Séamus Power and Gary Hurley.

On-site facilities include Senior Membership, Pro Shop, Bar, Restaurant, PGA coaching, Custom fitting, Buggy hire, Trolley hire, and 1 more.
West Waterford grew from Pat and Nora Spratt's plan to convert their successful dairy and apple farm at Coolcormack into a parkland golf course. Eddie Hackett was engaged as architect, and the completed course was officially opened on 9 July 1993.
Hackett's approach at West Waterford relied on the existing landscape and sought a natural rhythm through the property. The River Brickey forms part of the setting and influences several holes on the inward nine.
The club built a strong junior programme and won national inter-club honours, including four consecutive Irish Junior Foursomes titles from 2005 through 2008. More recently, substantial drainage work enabled year-round play. In 2026 the club announced investment in a new driving range and golf academy while adding a resident PGA professional and expanded retail, coaching and custom-fitting services.
West Waterford is particularly associated with touring professional Séamus Power, who developed at the club, as well as professional Gary Hurley. Its junior programme has produced national inter-club success.
West Waterford remains an active member and visitor club with 18 holes, year-round play, a Pro Shop, coaching, bar and restaurant. The club reported strong membership growth during 2026.
