Willow Pond Golf Course is located in Rantoul, Illinois, United States. Formerly known as Chanute Air Force Base Golf Course, it was established as Willow Pond Golf Club after the base closed in 1993. The course was designed by golf course architect E.
Lawrence Packard in 1963, who also designed 145 other courses worldwide. Packard's design philosophy aimed to create a golfing experience that is enjoyable for both men and women, emphasizing "easy pars but difficult birdies." The course features fairways, water hazards, and sand traps, providing a challenge for players while also allowing for skill improvement.
