About Willows Run Golf Club

Willows Run Golf Club in Redmond, Washington, is a public multi-course complex rather than a single golf layout. It contains two separate 18-hole courses, Eagle's Talon and Coyote Creek, the nine-hole par-three Heron Links course, and the 18-hole Rainbow Run putting course. The official club history states that 18 holes were designed in 1994 by Canadian designer Lisa Maki and a further 27 holes were designed in 1997 by Ted Locke of British Columbia.

Eagle's Talon currently measures 6,843 yards from its back tee and plays to par 72; Coyote Creek measures 6,344 yards and its official scorecard totals par 72. Because the courses have separate scorecards, ratings and designs, no single length or rating is assigned at the complex level. Facilities include a driving range with InRange technology, practice areas, pro shop, instruction and restaurant service.

Designed by Ted Locke and Lisa Maki, the course originally opened in 1994. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving Range, InRange, Putting Green, Practice Bunker, Pro Shop, Golf Lessons, Restaurant, Par 3 Course, and 1 more.

Origins

The complex began with 18 holes designed in 1994 by Lisa Maki.

Did You Know?
Willows Run includes 45 holes of conventional golf plus an 18-hole family putting course.

Design Philosophy

The modern complex deliberately provides different formats: Eagle's Talon emphasises positioning and demanding greenside bunkering, while Coyote Creek is designed around softer edges, fewer forced carries and accessibility for a wider range of golfers.

Development

The official club says Ted Locke designed a further 27 holes in 1997, creating the multi-layout facility operating today.

Today

Willows Run combines Eagle's Talon, Coyote Creek, Heron Links and Rainbow Run with a technology-equipped driving range and public tee-time operation.
