Wimbledon Park Golf Club was a historic golf club beside Wimbledon Park in southwest London. Founded in 1898, its traditional layout occupied land wrapping around the park lake and was long played as an 18-hole course. The property was closely intertwined with the neighbouring All England Lawn Tennis Club, which ultimately acquired control of the golf-course land.
Following an agreement under which golf-club members voted to surrender their lease, the course was reduced to nine holes in 2021. Golf ceased completely in January 2023. The former course therefore should be treated as a closed historical golf facility rather than an active par-66 course available for play.
The course is an 18-hole golf course. The course originally opened in 1898. It is a private members-only club.
The club was established in 1898 on parkland surrounding Wimbledon Park lake. Its course occupied land on both sides of the lake and became a long-standing part of the Wimbledon sporting landscape.
The future of the course became tied to the expansion plans of the neighbouring All England Lawn Tennis Club. Members ultimately accepted an offer to surrender the golf club's lease. The golf course was reduced to nine holes during 2021.
Play ceased entirely in January 2023. The former golf land is therefore no longer an operating golf course.
