David Rainville

Golf Course Architect

David A. Rainville is an American golf course architect and Fellow of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, primarily active in California.

He earned an AA from Fullerton College in 1957 and has designed or remodeled numerous courses in Southern California, including Mile Square Golf Course (Players Course), Yucaipa Valley Golf Club, Eagle Crest Country Club, and The Vineyard at Escondido, among others. He also remodeled Montebello Country Club, Mile Square (Classic), Alta Vista Country Club, Redlands Country Club, and San Clemente Golf Course.

While his birth year is not publicly documented, a profile notes a birthplace of Deadwood, South Dakota, and a birth year of 1936. David Rainville is credited as the original designer of California Oaks Golf Club (opened 1989) in Murrieta, California.
