Floyd Farley (1907–2005) was a Kansas City–born golf professional who turned to course design in the early 1930s. He designed his first course, Woodlawn Golf Club in Oklahoma City, in 1932 and ultimately created or remodeled more than 100 courses across Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, and New Mexico.
He served as president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects in 1966–1967, was elevated to Fellow status in 1978, and remained active in the ASGCA until his death. Among his Nebraska projects, Farley is credited with designing Holmes Golf Course in Lincoln and the Jim Ager Memorial Junior (Par‑3) Golf Course, which opened in 1965.
His significance lies in bridging the Golden and Modern eras of golf architecture in the American Midwest, favoring functional, par‑70–style layouts suitable for both juniors and public play.
