Jim Ager Memorial Golf Course is a 9-hole, par-3 municipal course in central Lincoln, Nebraska, operated by Lincoln Parks and Recreation as one of the city's five public golf courses. It plays to a par of 27 across 1,228 yards, with individual holes ranging from 70 to 175 yards, making it one of the shortest courses in the state. The course was designed by architect Floyd Farley, who also designed Lincoln's Holmes Park and Mahoney golf courses.
Ager is built around teaching the game to beginners and juniors, and has won Golf Digest's award for Best Junior Golf Program in the municipal category. The course also has a five-station driving range with artificial mats, a pro shop, and a lounge and snack shop, and it hosts FootGolf, in which players use a soccer ball on the golf holes instead of clubs.

Jim Ager Memorial Golf Course was built in the mid-1960s by Lincoln Parks and Recreation as a short course in the heart of the city, one of what grew into a five-course municipal system that also includes Holmes Park, Mahoney, Highlands, and Pioneers. The course was designed by Floyd Farley, an Oklahoma-based architect who designed or remodeled more than 100 courses across the Midwest, including Lincoln's Holmes Park and Mahoney golf courses. The site sits along Antelope Creek, which runs through several of the course's nine holes.
Ager is a 9-hole, par-3 layout measuring 1,228 yards, with individual holes ranging from 70 to 175 yards. Rather than a scaled-down version of a full course, it was built specifically as a short course: every hole is a par 3, which keeps rounds quick and keeps the challenge centered on iron play and putting rather than length off the tee.
The course added a driving range with a five-station hitting bay and artificial mats, giving golfers a place to warm up or work on their swing without needing a full round. In more recent years, Lincoln Parks and Recreation has also opened the course to FootGolf, in which players kick a soccer ball toward oversized cups cut into the same holes used for golf.
Ager has won Golf Digest's award for Best Junior Golf Program in the municipal category, recognition tied to the course's long-running junior instruction and league programs.
Today Ager continues to operate as a beginner- and junior-oriented public course within the Lincoln City Golf system, pairing its short, walkable layout with a pro shop, a lounge and snack shop, and ongoing lesson and league programs for golfers of all ages.
