Golf Course Architect
Kelly Blake Moran is a Texas A&M–educated landscape architect who embarked on his golf course design career shortly after graduation. After gaining experience as a partner at Robert von Hagge’s firm from the mid‑1980s into the mid‑1990s, he moved to the Northeast and established his independent practice.
Moran’s solo projects include Hawk Pointe Golf Club (New Jersey, opened 2000), Leatherach Golf Club (PA), Hideout Golf Club (Florida), Laurel Links (NY), Four Seasons Uruguay, and renovations such as Moorestown Field Club and Rock Spring (NJ). His design philosophy centers on land-based design, making bold use of terrain and minimal earthmoving while focusing on strategic, sculpted greens and natural features.
