Golf Course Architect
Phil Tataurangi, born in Auckland in 1971, enjoyed a successful professional golf career—highlighted by victories on the PGA Tour, the Australian PGA Championship, and the Nationwide Tour—before moving into golf course design and consulting. Since around 2011, he has played a significant role in golf course development through Mahi Tahi Golf Projects, often collaborating with Brett Thomson (RBT Design) on courses including Windross Farm near Auckland.
He has also contributed to projects like Tīeke Golf Estate and has been engaged in Iwi consultation and cultural values assessments on developments such as Douglas Links, drawing on personal whakapapa and involvement in mana whenua engagement.
