Golf Course Architect
Tom Fazio II (often called Tommy) is an American golf course architect, part of the renowned Fazio family—son of Jim Fazio and nephew of Tom Fazio. Born around 1968, he studied at Mississippi State University and early in his career gained practical experience working on his father’s Italian course and overseeing construction at Trump National Westchester.
Beyond renovations, he is best known for designing and building the “Old Course” (the second course) at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster and the Fazio Five short‑game complex at Trump National Golf Club Charlotte. He is recognized for a “field architect” approach—deeply involved in all aspects of design and construction, even operating heavy equipment on site.
In mid‑2020, he co‑launched a design business with former USGA CEO Mike Davis, Fazio & Davis Golf Design.
