Adlington Golf Centre is a family-owned, multi-course golf facility in Adlington, near Macclesfield in Cheshire, on the edge of the Peak District. Rather than a single 18-hole layout, the centre operates two distinct 9-hole courses alongside a large Adventure Golf attraction, all built around an explicitly no-membership, pay-and-play philosophy — as the club puts it, "golf should be about enjoyment, not obligations."
The Heritage Course is a par-3 layout playing to a par of 27 over two tees (1,250 yards Green, 1,483 yards Blue), with every hole named after an aircraft manufactured at the neighbouring wartime Woodford Airfield — Anson, Manchester, Lancaster, Vulcan and more — giving the course a distinctive local aviation history theme. Alongside it, the Academy Course is a shorter 660-yard, par-27 pitch-and-putt layout designed by Hawtree Ltd, aimed squarely at short-game practice and newer golfers.
