Angkor Golf Resort is an 18-hole, par-72 Nick Faldo design in Siem Reap. The championship layout measures 7,279 yards and uses Seashore Paspalum turf. Faldo described the design as combining generally generous fairways with bold bunkering and subtly undulating greens intended to permit different approach-shot options.
Practice facilities include a 300-yard grass driving range, putting green and chipping area, while the clubhouse provides a pro shop, lockers, showers, equipment rental and restaurant. Contemporary reporting indicates the course began receiving golfers in late November 2007, with Faldo subsequently visiting for a formal opening and golf clinic in February 2008. The course is currently not operating normally: Angkor Golf Resort announced a temporary closure from 1 June 2026 for renovation works and restructuring and has not published a reopening date.

Angkor Golf Resort was developed during a period of rapid growth in Siem Reap golf tourism. Contemporary reporting in January 2008 stated that the course had opened in late November 2007 and attracted about 1,000 golfers during its first month. Nick Faldo and his design company created the 18-hole layout, and Faldo travelled to Siem Reap in February 2008 for a formal opening visit, playing the course, receiving a blessing from local monks and conducting a golf clinic.
Faldo described the course as a strategic layout intended to challenge different standards of golfer. His stated design approach at Angkor combined relatively generous fairways with bold bunker forms and greens containing subtle undulations, allowing players to choose among different approach trajectories and angles.
The course remained an established part of Siem Reap's golf market for nearly two decades. On 1 June 2026 Angkor Golf Resort began a temporary closure for renovation works and restructuring. The club said the work was intended to support the property's long-term sustainability and quality but had not announced a reopening date as of September 2026.
Angkor Golf Resort remains represented by its official website and management contacts, but the course is temporarily closed while renovation and restructuring work takes place.
