Atlantic Beach Links is an 18-hole, par-72 coastal course at Melkbosstrand on Cape Town's Atlantic seaboard. The club describes the layout as links-style, routed through undulating dunes and indigenous fynbos with exposure to the coastal wind and views toward Table Mountain, Robben Island and the Atlantic Ocean. International golf architect Mark Muller designed the course, which opened for play in 2000; the club notes that subsequent changes and improvements have been made while retaining the character of the original layout.
Four principal course options are used: Cobra (yellow), Springbok (white), Porcupine (blue) and Sunbird (red), with the club encouraging players to select tees according to ability and conditions. Practice facilities include a 300-metre driving range with 23 mat bays, a large putting green and a chipping green with a bunker. The clubhouse area includes a pro shop, Sunbird Restaurant, Milkwood Deli and Links Bar.

Atlantic Beach was created on coastal dune terrain at Melkbosstrand north of central Cape Town. The club's own hole-by-hole history identifies what is now the 12th hole as the first hole constructed, in September 1997. International golf architect Mark Muller designed the full course, which opened for play in 2000.
The routing uses undulating dune terrain and indigenous fynbos while remaining exposed to the Atlantic wind. Atlantic Beach itself consistently calls the layout links-style. Its hole descriptions show that wind direction, running approaches, elevation changes and natural terrain are recurring strategic elements.
The club now groups its principal tees into four named courses — Cobra, Springbok, Porcupine and Sunbird — intended to let players choose a length suited to their ability and the day's conditions.
The club says the course has undergone thoughtful changes and improvements since its 2000 opening while preserving the character of the original links-style design. Practice infrastructure now includes a 300-metre driving range with 23 mat bays, a large putting green and a chipping green with bunker, alongside an indoor putting studio used by the golf academy.
Atlantic Beach Links remains an 18-hole, par-72 course within Atlantic Beach Estate. It operates year-round and accepts visiting golfers as well as members, with seasonal visitor pricing and separate peak and off-peak rates.
