Balbriggan Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland club in County Dublin whose history begins in 1945, when local golf enthusiasts established a community-focused club. The modern course is the product of substantial later development rather than a layout that should simply be attributed to Eddie Connaughton as its original architect. In 2009 Connaughton oversaw a major redevelopment that introduced a redesigned layout with USGA-standard sand-based greens and teeing areas.
The course occupies approximately 150 acres and combines mature trees, newer native Irish planting and water features. Balbriggan reports a membership of roughly 800 and welcomes visitor golf while also supporting coaching, junior and other membership programs. Its proximity to the M1 and Dublin Airport makes it accessible from the wider Dublin area.
