Bali Hai Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-71 public course on Las Vegas Boulevard at the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip. Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley designed the course through Schmidt-Curley Design, and it opened in 2000. The official club gives a back-tee length of 7,002 yards.
Its construction transformed a heavily disturbed urban site into a golf course using extensive landscape material, white bunker sand, dark volcanic rock and large numbers of palms and other plantings. The course's location beside the Strip and near the airport is a defining feature rather than a peripheral detail: it is one of the few full-length golf courses directly within the resort corridor. The par-3 16th uses an island-style green beside the restaurant patio, while the club itself documents the third hole under the name 'Shipwreck'.
The course is an 18-hole golf course. It plays to par 71, 6,403m (7,002 yards). Designed by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley, the course originally opened in 2000. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Pro Shop, Restaurant, Club Rental, Caddie Service.
Schmidt-Curley Design created Bali Hai during the late-1990s expansion of Las Vegas golf. Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley converted a heavily disturbed site on Las Vegas Boulevard into a full-length golf course, and the course opened in 2000.
The architects deliberately created a visually distinctive environment using palms, tropical-style planting, pale bunker sand and contrasting volcanic rock. Despite the strong visual theme, the routing is a full 7,002-yard par-71 course rather than a short resort layout.
Bali Hai remains a public daily-fee course immediately beside the Las Vegas Strip.
