Beaverstown Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course at Donabate in north County Dublin. The property was formerly Lamb Brothers' fruit farm, associated with Fruitfield jams, and its orchard heritage remains visible in mature apple trees incorporated into the course. Irish architect Eddie Hackett was retained to design the original layout, and the club affiliated to the Golfing Union of Ireland in 1985.
The men's course measures 5,972 metres at par 72, while the women's course is 5,095 metres at par 73. Six lakes, a stream and the Rogerstown estuary form part of the landscape, while the sand-based greens support year-round play. Peter McEvoy later carried out redesign work.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 72, 5,972m. Designed by Eddie Hackett, the course originally opened in 1985. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include Clubhouse, Restaurant, Practice Facilities.
The property was originally associated with Lamb Brothers' fruit farm. After that business ceased in the early 1980s, a local businessman acquired the land intending to create a golf and country club and retained Eddie Hackett to design the course. Financial difficulties threatened the project, prompting a group of subscribing members to invest and secure the land.
Hackett's routing used the existing orchard landscape, Rogerstown estuary, streams and lakes. Mature apple trees still border tees, fairways and greens on several holes.
The club affiliated to the Golfing Union of Ireland in 1985. Peter McEvoy later undertook redesign work, and the greens were rebuilt to sand-based standards.
Beaverstown is an 18-hole parkland club welcoming members, visitors and societies, with a men's par of 72 and a women's par of 73.
