Bijao Golf Club is the golf component of Bijao Beach Club & Residences on Panama's Pacific coast in Coclé. The physical course is a nine-hole par-36 layout designed by Ron Garl. Panama's golf association identifies the club as semi-private and confirms Garl's design credit.
The development's official site says more than US$6 million was invested in the golf course and describes a roughly 20-centimetre sand layer beneath the playing surfaces to aid drainage, together with more than 700 irrigation heads. The design received an Excellence in Golf Course Design award in 2010. Some commercial golf listings describe an 18-hole experience created by replaying the nine from different tees; this record therefore uses nine as the physical hole count rather than implying that two independent nines exist.
The course is a 9-hole resort golf course. The course was designed by Ron Garl. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include Clubhouse, Pro shop, Driving range, Putting green, Restaurant.
Bijao Golf Club was developed as one of the principal sporting amenities within the larger Bijao Beach Club & Residences community.
Ron Garl's design uses multiple teeing positions to accommodate different skill levels. Construction included a substantial sand drainage layer and extensive irrigation infrastructure.
The golf course remains an amenity within the broader Bijao residential and beach-club development.
