Blainroe Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 coastal parkland course south of Wicklow Town. The club states that the course opened in 1978, measures 6,175 metres and carries the Hawtree & Son design signature. Martin Hawtree subsequently redesigned the course in 2005.
That work included new sand-based greens, new tee boxes and additional greenside and fairway bunkers. Although close to the Irish Sea and occupying a cliff-top setting, Blainroe describes itself as coastal parkland rather than a traditional links. The clubhouse includes bar and catering facilities and the professional shop provides equipment, trolley and buggy hire.
