Bridgetown Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 country golf course in Western Australia's South West. Golf in Bridgetown dates to 1915, when the first local links were established on land made available by Thomas Wheatley. Heritage records show that a later nine-hole course was developed between 1928 and 1931 and that holes 10-18 were added in 1942.
The club's modern history was disrupted on 5 February 2022 when a fast-moving bushfire destroyed its clubhouse, caretaker's cottage and sheds and damaged the course's reticulation. Members and local authorities subsequently worked to protect the surviving greens and restore play. The official club website now states that the course is again open to visitors.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. The course originally opened in 1915. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Putting Green, Chipping Green, Golf Cart Hire, Club Hire.
The first Bridgetown links were created in 1915 on one of Thomas Wheatley's paddocks. Contemporary reporting described a newly formed club and a six-hole course.
Heritage records date development of a later nine-hole course to 1928-1931, with the second nine added in 1942. On 5 February 2022 a bushfire destroyed the clubhouse, caretaker's cottage and sheds and badly damaged irrigation infrastructure.
The club has restored regular golf after the fire and again welcomes visitors on a green-fee basis.
