Bunclody Golf & Fishing Club is an 18-hole parkland course on approximately 300 acres of the former Hall-Dare Estate near Bunclody, County Wexford. Designed by Jeff Howes, the course opened in March 2009 and extends beyond 7,000 yards from the back tees, with a published black-tee length of 7,164 yards and par of 72. The River Slaney influences the routing and the course uses substantial changes in elevation.
Its most unusual infrastructure is an elevator taking golfers five storeys from the 17th green to the elevated 18th tee. The club's official material identifies the 16th as the index-one hole, with the River Slaney bordering part of the approach. Bunclody is open to visitors and societies.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 72, 7,164 yards. Designed by Jeff Howes, the course originally opened in 2009. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Junior Membership, Suite, Lodge, Pro shop, Golf academy, Driving range, Putting green, Chipping green, and 9 more.
The modern golf course was created on roughly 300 acres of the former Hall-Dare Estate on the Carlow-Wexford border. Jeff Howes designed the championship layout, which opened in March 2009.
Howes used the estate's substantial changes in elevation, mature vegetation and proximity to the River Slaney to produce contrasting sections of the course. The 16th, officially identified as the index-one hole, begins beside the river and requires play through mature pines toward a green partly bordered by the Slaney.
The club incorporated an unusual vertical transition late in the round: after completing the 17th, golfers use an elevator rising five storeys to reach the 18th tee.
The club has appeared in Irish parkland-course rankings since shortly after opening. Its current website states that it was awarded Best Parkland in Leinster for 2024.
Bunclody remains open to visitors and societies and operates a pro shop and academy as well as clubhouse dining and practice facilities.
