About Caerleon Municipal Golf Course

Caerleon Municipal Golf Course is located in Newport, Wales, and is recognized as the first municipal golf course in the country, having opened in 1976. The course features a 9-hole layout and a 9-hole par-3 course, which was developed with a Ryder Cup Legacy Grant from the Welsh Government to promote the game among beginners. Additionally, a Footgolf course runs alongside the par-3 course.

The facility operates on a pay-and-play basis, allowing visitors to enjoy the game without the need for prior booking.
