Centurion Country Club is an 18-hole residential-estate golf course in Centurion, Gauteng. Peter Matkovich designed and constructed the course, with the estate recording its first public opening on 14 October 1997. The men's club markers measure 6,373 metres and the ladies' markers 5,313 metres.
The routing deliberately combines three different visual and strategic characters: conventional parkland, waste-desert sections and water-dominated holes. The Hennops River and associated lakes affect ten holes, and the course contains 44 bunkers. Kikuyu is used on fairways and rough, with bentgrass greens.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,373m. Designed by Peter Matkovich, the course originally opened in 1997. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include Driving range, Chipping green, Putting green, Pro shop, Club fitting, Golf academy, Restaurant, Clubhouse, and 2 more.
Peter Matkovich designed the golf course during development of the Centurion residential estate in the mid-1990s.
Matkovich divided the course character between parkland, waste-desert terrain and water-influenced holes. The Hennops River and lakes affect ten holes and the routing includes 44 bunkers.
The estate records the course as first opening to the public on 14 October 1997.
The course remains the central golf facility of Centurion Residential Estate, with member, resident and external golf-day use.
