About Cherokee Golf Course

Cherokee Golf Course is located in Louisville, Kentucky, and is a municipal course. Founded in 1895, it is one of the oldest municipal golf courses in the United States and the oldest public golf course in Louisville. The course features a hilly layout and includes two lake holes, making it the shortest of the Metro Parks courses.

It is an excellent place to improve short-iron play. Amenities include a fully stocked Pro Shop, a snack bar, a large practice putting green, and a picnic area. Adjacent to the course are a fishing lake and a playground area.
