Chinderah Golf Course is a privately owned, publicly accessible 18-hole course at 100 Tweed Coast Road in Chinderah, northern New South Wales. The course measures 3,373 metres and plays to par 61. Its official site gives a men's scratch rating of 58 and slope rating of 70, with a women's slope of 74.
The flat routing developed from land formerly used by the Brinsmead family for sugar-cane farming. A driving range was established in the early 1990s, followed by the golf course as local demand increased. The layout includes 18 separate tees, trees and native vegetation, dams, bunkers, mounds and swales.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 61, 3,373m, course rating 58 and slope rating 70. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Pro Shop, Driving Range, Putting Green, Chipping Area, Practice Bunker, Golf Cart Hire, Club Hire.
The Brinsmead family originally used the property for sugar-cane farming. A driving range was developed in the early 1990s as a local practice facility, and the golf course followed in response to demand for more golf in the area.
A social competition for golfers aged over 50 began in 1992 and expanded over time. A new clubhouse was built in 1998, replacing shipping containers previously used as the pro shop and office. The irrigation system was later connected to treated effluent from Kingscliff and Chinderah under a government-supported scheme.
Chinderah operates as an 18-hole public course and driving range. It remains first-come, first-served for social golf, while official competitions are conducted on Monday and Thursday mornings.
