The West Course is one of two 18-hole public courses at Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club in Tweed Heads South. From the Blue tees it measures 6,018 metres, plays to par 72 and carries a scratch rating of 72 with a slope of 129. White tees measure 5,756 metres and are rated 71/128.
The women's Red course measures 5,425 metres, plays to par 74 and is rated 74/128. The West is the longer of the club's two principal layouts and operates independently from the River Course while sharing the same clubhouse and support facilities. Current visitor rates are A$80 for 18 holes, A$45 for nine holes and A$60 after 1pm, with a A$55 Monday and Tuesday special.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,018m, course rating 72 and slope rating 129. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Putting Green, Chipping Area, Bunker Practice, Pro Shop, Club Hire, Pull Buggies, Motorised Carts, Bar, and 4 more.
The club states that both West and River were included in Golf Australia Magazine's 2019 Top 100 Public Access Courses.
The West Course forms one half of the club's 36-hole public golf operation at Tweed Heads South.
