The West Course at Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club is one of two 18-hole championship layouts at the club’s Tweed Heads South complex, situated just south of the Queensland–New South Wales border and close to the Gold Coast. Set within the club’s 101-hectare nature reserve beside the Tweed River, the West provides a traditional parkland golf experience combining relatively open playing corridors with strategically positioned water hazards, bunkers and mature vegetation.

From the blue tees, the West measures 6,018 metres and plays to par 72, with a scratch rating of 72 and slope rating of 129. Although generally more open than its sister River Course, water is a particularly important part of the West’s defence, with lakes and dams affecting numerous holes. The course asks players to balance distance with positioning, while its mixture of par threes, fours and fives provides plenty of opportunities for strategic decision-making.
