Dolphin Head Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course within Hilton Head Plantation on Hilton Head Island. The course opened in 1974 as the plantation's first golf course and was Gary Player's first design in the Hilton Head area; regional historical material also associates Ron Kirby with the original design. Player's stated approach was to retain as many natural site features as possible and minimise landfill, integrating the course with the surrounding preserves.
The current black tees measure 6,606 yards, with a 72.7 course rating and 140 slope. Additional principal tees include blue at 6,421 yards, white at 6,169 and red at 5,360. The club's current official scorecard publishes complete hole-by-hole yardages.
