Edenderry Golf Club is an 18-hole inland course at Kishawanny Upper near Edenderry, County Offaly. The club has existed since 1910 but occupied several locations before settling at its present site, where Eddie Hackett designed the course on the area's natural peat terrain. The course was expanded from nine to 18 holes in 1980.
Official measurements taken in January 2026 list the White men's tees at 5,957 metres, par 72, course rating 72.0 and slope 131. Yellow men's tees measure 5,711 metres at 70.7/130, while Red men's tees measure 5,036 metres at 67.4/120. Separate women's ratings are published for Yellow and Red.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 72, 5,957m (6,515 yards), course rating 72 and slope rating 131. Designed by Eddie Hackett, the course originally opened in 1910. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Clubhouse, Golf shop, Club hire, Buggy hire, Pull trolley hire, Practice area, Full Membership, Social Membership, and 1 more.
Edenderry Golf Club was instituted in 1910. A contemporary report stated that the new course would open for play on 1 November that year, although the club subsequently occupied several locations, including areas at Carrick and The Derries, before moving to its present home.
At the present site, Eddie Hackett used the natural peat terrain to create the course. The modern layout combines mature trees and strategic bunkering with the drainage characteristics of the underlying ground.
The club's present course began as nine holes and was developed into an 18-hole layout in 1980. A modern clubhouse was added later. The course continues to be remeasured and maintained, with the current official rating table based on a January 2026 measurement.
Edenderry's competitive history includes winning the All-Ireland Irish Junior Foursomes in 2004 and the Provincial Towns Cup in 2000, along with other regional team successes.
Edenderry is a member-owned but visitor-accessible 18-hole club. The current men's White course measures 5,957 metres at par 72, with five rated tee/gender combinations published by the club.
