About Filey Golf Club

Filey Golf Club occupies a coastal site south of Filey in North Yorkshire. The club was established in 1897, initially playing on land north of the town, before moving to its present site two years later. The club's own history credits James Braid with the design of the 'new links', and it remains a member of the Association of James Braid Courses.

The main course has 18 holes and combines exposed coastal sections with more sheltered parkland characteristics; a separate nine-hole Academy Course brings the property to 27 holes in total. The club publishes separate official scorecards and course-rating information for both layouts, although third-party databases currently show conflicting yardages for the main course, so those numbers are not reproduced here without the official card itself being reliably extracted. Visitors are welcomed and can book online, subject to club competition and member-priority periods.

The course is an 18-hole links golf course. Designed by James Braid, the course originally opened in 1899. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Practice Area, Restaurant, Clubhouse, Golf Shop, Academy Course.
